Dear Artists,

On behalf of the AIFF (Aruba Int'l Film Festival), We here by invite you to participate the

AIFF FINE ARTS EXPOSITION & COMPETITION:

Theme "Film, Catch the Moment !"
The show will be themed to the industry and the art of filmmaking.  
                       
Dates and Deadlines:

March 10, 2012 – Artists must register their intention to participate using the application form on the AIFF website, www.AIFF.aw. (here is the direct link:  http://www.arubainternationalfilmfestival.com/aiff_2012/Art.html  )

May 28, 2012 - Last day to send the art work information as follows:
 - Artist Name
- Title
- Medium
- Size
- Price in US $  (Sales price)
 * Please note- 25% commissions will be take out from the sales price when it's sold * 

May 31, 2012 – Delivery day of the art piece to the Cas di Cultura         
June 1, 2012 – Pre-selection day, artists are notified of acceptance within a couple of days follows
June 4, 2012 – Selection of the Awards by the panel of International Jury
June 5, 2012 – Opening of AIFF Art Show at the Cas di Cultura
                       (The works will be on display prior to the festival at the Cas di Cultura; the official opening of the exposition will
                       be the opening night of the festival)
June 22 – 28, 2012 – Selected works are shown at various events during the Film Festival
 
Awards to be presented:

- Best in Show
- Best reflection of the theme, Film, Catch the Moment
- Public Choice Award

Rules and Regulations for submitting a work of art to the AIFF Art Exposition:

- The art should reflect the Exposition theme:  Film, Catch the Moment.
- Artists must register for the competition at www.AIFF.aw

- All art works must be original and not previously shown
- Digital designs will not be considered. (Please submit digital designs to AIFF Poster contest)
- Photography will be eligible, with minimal digital processing.
- Art may be in any non-computerized medium.
- Only one art piece per artist, please.
- Artwork must be wired and ready for hanging.
- International artists may participate, but must cover all travel expenses.
  Note: The formal letter of invitation/participation is available by your request, in order for you to get any necessary funds in
  your country of origin  for your expenses .
- Artists must comply with registration and delivery deadlines.
  Note:  International Artists: you may send your artwork picture (JPG format) via e-mail for the pre-selection; however, if your
  artwork is selected, the original artwork should be at the Cas di Cultura, latest by the morning (9 am) of June 4th for the jury
  selection.

Ateliers '89 offering 2 new workshops by Rietveld teachers Jose Vonk and Hans Muller.

Both Workshops are intense but it is a one time opportunity. They begin on Monday 12^th March and run Monday through Thursday. The end projects will be exhibited on Thursday April 5^th at 20.00hrs. Open to the general public.
